I began my personal practice with a few books and a yoga mat in 2006 in hopes of alleviating frequent migraines and chronic joint pain.  Now, many years and several thousand hours of practice later, not only are my migraines and joint pain a thing of the past, but I am a healthier, happier, and more effective individual than ever before. It is yoga's healing potential inspires me to teach, and the valuable lessons gleaned from my practice that inform my teaching.

I received my 200-hour yoga teacher certification from American Power Yoga in 2010, and have been teaching yoga in and around the Austin area ever since. My continuing education includes advanced training in Ashtanga yoga, Ayurveda, adaptive yoga, yoga therapy, and prison yoga, as well as certification in the Lagree method, 500-hour yoga teacher certification, and various academic pursuits.

My classes offer an accessible yet challenging approach to the yoga practice influenced by my many years as a practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga. I bring a thorough understanding of body mechanics, fluency in the principles of learning and education, and experiential knowledge of the many facets of the practice to every single class. My classes include a mix of centering, strengthening, and restorative practices that will leave a smile on your face, a softness in your heart, and a fire in your belly.
